A training board is not a learning kit. A learning kit teaches a technician the principles of automotive electrical and electronic components on a generic fixture. A training board teaches them to recognise, operate, and diagnose the actual system fitted to a specific vehicle model — the real relays, the real sensors, the real fault behaviour they will meet in the service bay.

 

Ameet Electro Systems (Nashik, Maharashtra) manufactures vehicle-specific automotive training boards for OEM dealer service networks and technical training institutes. Every board is built to a defined brief: the vehicle model, the system being taught, and the faults the technician must learn to isolate. We build it with the components that match the service manual — not visual approximations of them.

What is an automotive training board?

An automotive training board is an operable demonstration rig that reproduces one vehicle system — or one vehicle's worth of sensors and circuits — using the genuine components fitted to that model, mounted on a single board a technician can probe, unplug, and deliberately fault.

 

A well-built training board differs from a catalogue trainer in four ways:

 

- Genuine components at their real part numbers — the same sensors, relays, and switches the service manual specifies, not similar-looking substitutes.

- The actual circuit topology — components wired in the arrangement used on the vehicle, so signal paths and interdependencies match reality.

- Live output indication — LED or instrument feedback that lets a learner see a circuit working or failing, without a running engine.

- Deliberate learning or fault modes — plug-and-play components, break-circuit points, or interactive fault-diagnosis logic that reproduces documented failure scenarios.

 

The result is a rig a new technician can train on until the hardware is familiar — before they ever open the bonnet of a customer's vehicle.

Our Training Board Range

We manufacture four confirmed training-board lines, spanning commercial-vehicle sensor training, connected-vehicle telematics, and interactive fault diagnosis. Each is built to a specific OEM brief and can be reproduced, revised, or scaled for network-wide deployment.

Vehicle Sensor 17-Demo Kit Board (Model V03)

This board was commissioned by VE Commercial Vehicles (Volvo–Eicher) for its dealer service network. It mounts all 17 sensors and relay components used on the commercial-vehicle platform in a single LED-backlit display board. Technicians identify each component, observe its operating behaviour, and practise removal and refitting — all without a live vehicle.

 

The board is Plug-N-Play: each component can be unplugged and refitted for hands-on practice. It runs from a standard 230VAC 3-pin supply and generates the 12V and 24V DC rails the components need internally.

 

All 17 components mounted on the board:

Vehicle Sensor 10-Demo Kit Board

Commercial vehicle sensors · Condensed 10-station variant

 

The 10-Demo board is the condensed counterpart to the 17-sensor board above — the same interactive, hands-on approach to commercial-vehicle sensor training, built around a focused ten-component set. It suits induction modules, smaller training bays, or a lower-cost second unit deployed alongside the full 17-sensor board.

 

Standardising on one board family lets a dealer network specify the 10- or 17-station build per site, according to the depth of sensor training required at each location.

 

Who uses it: Entry-level sensor orientation; secondary training-bay units; institutes with a condensed syllabus.

Eicher LIVE Telematics Concept Rig

Connected vehicles · Telematics architecture · LED display · Three operating modes

 

The Eicher LIVE telematics concept rig teaches the full architecture of a connected commercial vehicle — from onboard sensors and ECUs through the CAN bus and telematics gateway to the cloud portals used by dealers, fleet operators, and call centres. It was developed for VE Commercial Vehicles' telematics dealer-training programme.

 

Three operating modes (selected on the board):

 

- Information mode — fuel management and uptime reporting

- GPS mode — live vehicle-tracking concept (GPS antenna simulation)

- Fault mode — fault-code generation and dealer-portal notification

In plain terms, the rig traces data from the vehicle's sensors through its ECUs and CAN bus to a telematics gateway, then over the mobile network to a cloud server and on to the dealer, call-centre, and customer portals. On the board, that path is laid out as:

 

Sensors → Engine ECU (EECU) + Vehicle ECU (VECU) + Instrument Cluster → CAN bus → Telematics Gateway / TCU (with SIM card + GPS antenna) → GSM tower → Cloud Server → Dealer Portal / Call-Centre Portal / Customer Portal.

 

The portals demonstrate uptime management, proactive service, advance breakdown assistance, dynamic service reminders, fuel management, and trip management. LEDs run in slow or fast mode via a speed switch to represent live vehicle activity.

QB-A01-R1 Quiz Board — "Play & Learn" Hydraulic Fault Diagnosis

The QB-A01-R1 is an interactive fault-diagnosis board built for Mahindra's NOVO and YUVO tractor dealer network, deployed at Mahindra Exclusive Service Centres. It presents a hydraulic-system fault scenario and asks the technician to identify the most probable cause from a set of options — turning diagnostic training into a measurable, gamified exercise.

Feedback is immediate and multi-modal: a green LED and a "Congratulations" voice message confirm a correct answer; a red LED and a "Better luck next time" voice message flag an incorrect one. This format measurably raises engagement and retention over passive fault-tracing.

Why vehicle-specific boards beat catalogue trainers

Catalogue training equipment serves general vocational instruction well. For an OEM dealer network, three gaps open up — and a vehicle-specific board closes each one.

Why does component recognition matter on a warranty job?

A generic relay board teaches relay theory, but the physical form factor, connector, and part number rarely match the OEM's vehicle. A technician trained on a generic component may hesitate over the real one during a warranty job — a cost the OEM absorbs. A board built with the actual component removes that hesitation before it becomes a claim.

Why must fault topology match the service manual?

Catalogue kits simulate faults on generic circuits. OEM diagnostic training needs the documented fault sequences from that model's service manual — the failures technicians actually encounter, in the combinations they occur. A vehicle-specific board reproduces those exact scenarios.

How does a real-part board build instructor credibility?

When the board carries the real part numbers, an instructor can teach directly against the service manual and diagnostic tree. That link between classroom and workshop is what accelerates a new technician to competence — and a generic kit breaks it.

How we build a custom training board

If none of our existing boards matches your training objective, we design to brief. The typical engagement:

Step 1 — Requirement brief

You share the vehicle model, the system to be trained (sensors, telematics, hydraulics, electrical), the learner profile, and any existing training content (syllabus, service-manual extracts, component lists).

Step 2 — Component mapping

Our engineering team maps the requirement to a board layout and prepares a bill of materials, referencing component part numbers against your service documentation.

Step 3 — Prototype

We fabricate a first unit and ship it for evaluation. You review against the training syllabus and provide revision notes.

Step 4 — Sign-off and Series Production

Once you sign off on the prototype, we produce the agreed quantity. Lead time from order confirmation: 4–8 weeks (depending on volume and component availability).

Step 5 — Ongoing Supply

We retain the BOM and fixture design for your product. Repeat orders, spares, and revised versions are fulfilled against the same reference.

A training kit teaches the general principles of automotive components on a generic fixture. Can AES build a training board for a specific vehicle model we manufacture?

Yes — this is our core offering. Share the vehicle model, the system to train (sensors, telematics, hydraulics, electrical), and your learner profile. We map components to your service documentation and design a board accordingly.

What is the minimum order quantity?

There is no stated minimum. We have supplied single-unit prototypes for evaluation and series orders for network-wide rollouts. Contact us with your volume and we will advise on lead time and cost.

Do the boards come with manuals?

Yes. Each board ships with a manual covering component identification, operating instructions, and — where applicable — fault-simulation or quiz procedures. For OEM-commissioned boards, the manual is aligned with your existing training documentation.

How long does delivery take?​

From a confirmed order, 4–8 weeks depending on component procurement and volume. Prototype evaluation adds 1–2 weeks before series production. We advise booking a prototype slot 10–12 weeks before your programme start date.

 

Can we buy spares after delivery?

Yes. We retain the BOM for every board we produce. Spare sensors, relays, LEDs, and other components are available from us or sourced against the same part numbers.
