Bridge Rectifiers, Diode Discs & Strips Manufactured in Nashik
Ameet Electro Systems (AES) manufactures high-voltage diode and rectifier components for the power, industrial, and medical equipment sectors. Our HV product range covers bridge rectifiers rated at 70 kV and 95 kV, avalanche-grade diode discs rated at 20 kV, diode strips rated from 100 kV to 200 kV, HV resistor boards, and overvoltage protection components.
Every component is designed, assembled, and tested in-house at our facility in Satpur MIDC, Nashik. Bridge rectifiers are vibration-tested by ETDC (Electronics Testing and Development Centre) before dispatch. We supply domestically across India and export internationally, shipped FOB Nhava Sheva (JNPT), Navi Mumbai.
What "Custom-Built" Means at AES
Most training equipment manufacturers in India produce from a fixed catalogue. You select a product code, they ship from stock. The assumption is that a standard automotive trainer covers enough ground for most learners — and for generic ITI or polytechnic instruction, that assumption holds.
OEM dealer networks and OEM-commissioned training institutes are a different buyer. They need:
- Components that match the actual part numbers used in the service manual
- Fault-simulation points that replicate real diagnostic scenarios technicians will encounter in the field
- Power supply specifications matched to the deployment geography (India 230VAC / global 90–270VAC)
- Fixture formats that fit the training bay layout and can withstand daily use across a multi-year programme
At AES, we design to the brief. We review your vehicle model documentation, agree a component list with your training team, prototype a first unit, and adjust before series production. The result is a kit that technicians recognise immediately because it reflects the system they are trained to maintain — not a generic approximation of it.
We have built training kits and boards for:
- A leading global commercial vehicle manufacturer's dealer service network (sensor demo board + telematics architecture rig)
- A leading Indian tractor OEM's authorised service centre chain (hydraulic fault diagnosis board)
- A leading Japanese automotive brand's dealer network in Australia (learning kits — accessories)
- A leading Indian premium motorcycle manufacturer's training programme
- A leading global automotive OEM's dealer technician programme
Applications — Four Buyer Segments We Serve
Our HV components are specified and supplied into four distinct application areas.
Transformer Manufacturing and Testing
Transformer manufacturers and HV test laboratories use our bridge rectifiers and diode assemblies in induced-voltage test rigs, no-load loss test benches, and transformer oil breakdown voltage (BDV) test sets. These applications require bridge rectifiers capable of sustained DC output at high voltage with low leakage current and predictable avalanche behaviour under surge conditions.
Relevant standards: IEC 60076 (power transformers), IS 2026 (Indian equivalent).
Our bridge rectifiers (1BR70P, 1BR95P and disc-type equivalents) are designed to complement the rectifier stages of these test systems. They are assembled with copper bus bars and M8 bolt terminals to allow integration into existing transformer test bench wiring without adaptation.
Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP)

X-Ray and Medical Equipment
Diagnostic X-ray generators and industrial non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment use HV power supplies in the 40–150 kV range. The diode components in these supplies must have ultra-low leakage current and fast recovery behaviour to maintain waveform integrity at the operating frequency.
Our RA/RAE series HV diode strips (100–200 kV, 40–500 mA, standard and ultra-fast recovery) are the primary components we supply into this application. The ARE20A diode disc is also used in X-ray power supplies where a disc-stack bridge assembly is preferred.
High-Voltage Test Equipment
HV test sets, insulation testers, and partial discharge detectors all require HV rectifier and diode components as part of their DC generation circuits. Our bridge rectifiers and diode discs are specified into these instruments by test-equipment OEMs and in-house test bench builders.
Disc-Type vs PCB-Type Bridge Rectifiers — Which to Specify
The most common selection question we receive is when to specify a disc-type bridge rectifier versus a PCB-type bridge rectifier. Both convert AC to high-voltage DC, but the choice affects insulation clearance, thermal management, and physical form factor.
Disc-Type Bridge Rectifiers
Disc-type rectifiers are built by stacking individual epoxy-moulded HV diode discs in a series string, clamped to a copper bus bar. Each disc provides approximately 20–25 kV of reverse blocking voltage; stacking multiple discs achieves the full rated output.
When to specify disc-type:
- Applications at 70 kV and above, where physical separation between diode elements provides the superior insulation clearance required by IEC 60664
- Oil-immersed environments (disc assemblies are rated for continuous operation in transformer oil)
- Applications requiring field serviceability — individual discs can be replaced without replacing the full assembly
- Transformer testing rigs, ESP TR units, and high-power HV power supplies
AES manufactures disc-type bridge rectifiers at 70 kV and 95 kV ratings.
PCB-Type Bridge Rectifiers
PCB-type rectifiers mount the diode string on a glass-fibre high-voltage insulating PCB substrate, with copper bus bars for terminal connection. The board provides mechanical structure and consistent dielectric spacing between diode elements.
When to specify PCB-type:
- Applications where a fixed form factor and consistent production geometry are required
- Environments where the assembly will be operated in air rather than oil (PCB insulation provides the primary dielectric)
- Situations where compact overall dimensions matter more than field replaceability
- Integration into enclosed HV power supply modules
AES manufactures PCB-type bridge rectifiers at 70 kV (1BR70P) and 95 kV (1BR95P). Both are ETDC vibration-tested.
If you are unsure which configuration suits your application, contact us with your voltage, current, operating medium (oil or air), and space envelope. We will advise without obligation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a training kit and a training board?
A training kit teaches the general principles of automotive components on a generic fixture. A training board reproduces one specific vehicle system — the real sensors, relays, and circuit topology of a named model — so a technician trains on the exact hardware they will service. AES manufactures both; boards are covered on this page, kits in our [training kits guide](/training-kits).
Can AES build a training board for a specific vehicle model we manufacture?
Yes — this is our core offering. Share the vehicle model, the system to train (sensors, telematics, hydraulics, electrical), and your learner profile. We map components to your service documentation and design a board accordingly.
What is the minimum order quantity?
There is no stated minimum. We have supplied single-unit prototypes for evaluation and series orders for network-wide rollouts. Contact us with your volume and we will advise on lead time and cost.
Do the boards come with manuals?
Yes. Each board ships with a manual covering component identification, operating instructions, and — where applicable — fault-simulation or quiz procedures. For OEM-commissioned boards, the manual is aligned with your existing training documentation.
How long does delivery take?
From a confirmed order, 4–8 weeks depending on component procurement and volume. Prototype evaluation adds 1–2 weeks before series production. We advise booking a prototype slot 10–12 weeks before your programme start date.
Can we buy spares after delivery?
Yes. We retain the BOM for every board we produce. Spare sensors, relays, LEDs, and other components are available from us or sourced against the same part numbers.
